Rolf E. Lowe is an attorney at Wachler & Associates P.C. Mr. Lowe has been practicing healthcare law for over 15 years. He provides counsel to healthcare providers, and companies operating in the health care field, on a broad array of issues affecting their operations including; Medicare, Medicaid and other payer rules and regulations, federal and state compliance issues, Stark and Anti-Kickback, HIPAA and other privacy matters, behavioral health services, business transactions, privileging, credentialing and licensure matters, payer contracting and impaneling, labor and employment law matters, risk management and administrative actions.
Prior to joining the firm Mr. Lowe worked in the general counsel’s office of a Managed Care Organization that was responsible for providing Medicaid and state general fund behavioral health and substance use disorder services to its members. He also served as the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Officer and FOIA Coordinator. Prior to that, he was in private practice working in the areas of healthcare law and civil litigation.
Mr. Lowe is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a state of Michigan SCAO Certified Civil Court Mediator. He is a member of Michigan State Bar Health Law and Government Law sections. Mr. Lowe is also a contributor to the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, co-authoring a chapter in the book Collateral Consequences of a Criminal Conviction, titled “Licensees Under the Occupational and Public Health Codes.”
