Katy DelBene is an attorney at Wachler & Associates, P.C. Ms. DelBene represents healthcare providers and suppliers in the defense of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor audits, as well as a broad range of health professional and facility licensing and regulatory compliance matters.
Ms. DelBene graduated from University of Michigan Law School. During law school, Ms. DelBene served as a law clerk for Michigan Medicine and participated in the Michigan Health Law Organization. Prior to law school, Ms. DelBene obtained her B.A. with High Distinction and Highest Honors from the University of Michigan.
Ms. DelBene began her career as an Attorney Fellow with the University of Michigan Office of the Vice President and General Counsel, practicing healthcare law on behalf of the Michigan Medicine academic medical center campus. She continued her in-house healthcare law practice as an Assistant University Counsel for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Prior to joining Wachler & Associates, Ms. DelBene was a private-practice attorney in Santa Fe, NM, and has practiced in the areas of general civil litigation, corporate and transactional law, employment and labor law, and estate planning and administration.
Ms. DelBene is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan and State of New Mexico. She is a Board Member for the State Bar of New Mexico Health Law Section.
